A while back we posted an article called “What is Resveratrol” which is a polyphenol with important anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties that  is produced when plants are under attack from bacteria or fungi. At the time we were discussing how researchers were correlating the presence of Resveratrol with the so called ‘French paradox’ diet.

Well since then  more research has been released and in a recent study from from the University of Alberta the team there found in experiments that high doses of resveratrol improved physical performance, heart function and muscle strength in lab models. An very interesting quote from the team lead Professor Dyck said:

“I think resveratrol could help patient populations who want to exercise but are physically incapable. Resveratrol could mimic exercise for them or improve the benefits of the modest amount of exercise that they can do,”

Can I ask you, can you afford to ignore this?

To your health..
